Can mixed ages climb together?

The great thing about the Clip ‘n Climb experience is that it is suitable for all ages, children and adults. All ages and abilities are welcome and can climb in the arena together during our climbing sessions provided they are aged 4 and above. We additionally run Family Sessions in which children from 2 can climb as log as they have a non-climbing adult with them.

The centre offers climbing challenges of varying difficulty, so there will be something for everybody to enjoy.

Non harnessed children are not permitted in the Climbing Arena, if you are a non climbing adult supporting a climber and you have a  baby with you, the baby must be in a baby carrier when in the climbing arena with you. Alternatively you can remain in the café area with them.

Do I need to take part in the safety briefing if I’ve visited before?

Yes, even regular users need to attend our safety briefing and harnessing before every climb.

Can I leave my child alone on site?

Young people, over 11 years of age can attend Clip ‘n Climb without an adult with them, however they need to be booked in by an adult who has signed their waiver – this can be done online.

How Long do sessions last?

Before you climb you will take part in a 15 minute safety briefing session and harness fitting, followed by 55 minutes in the arena and 5 mins to debrief and remove your harnesses.

Our Family Sessions are a shorter session. Beginning with a safety briefing, followed by 30 minutes of climbing.

I’ve never climbed before will there be instructors to help me?

The great thing about Clip ‘n Climb is that absolutely anybody can enjoy the experience, with or without prior experience. To understand how simple it is, check out this short video explain how our auto-belay technology works – you literally Clip and Climb!

All climbing sessions are supported by our instructors. They will talk you through all safety aspects, our climbing arena rules, and how to use the auto belay system during your briefing. Having ensured your harness is fitted correctly they will take you to our climbing arena and be available throughout your climbing session to offer assistance and guidance where needed.
